About Elena
Elena Hollander is a comedic force with a delightful combination of Midwestern warmth and NYC neurosis—she’s friendly, efficient, and deeply concerned about whether this sentence is landing.
As an actor, she delivers the laughs and the feels, moving between comedy and drama with performances at The Comedy Store and the Sundance Film Festival, as well as roles in a feature film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and critically acclaimed independent films available on Amazon Prime. She has also voiced campaigns for brands including Albertsons/Safeway, Toyota, Nike, and Instagram.
Elena has trained with Scott Freeman, Margie Haber, Howard Fine, and Annie Grindlay, and studied improv comedy and clown at the Groundlings, UCB, LA Clown School, and the Pandemonium Studio.
Elena is also a visual artist working across photography, “elemental painting,” and mixed media. Her work includes Intimate Vegetables, a photographic series that places vegetables in distinctly human moments of intimacy, humor, and vulnerability, as well as “elemental paintings” made in collaboration with natural elements such as rain and snow.
Across her acting and visual art, Elena uses ordinary objects and everyday moments to explore our connections to one another, ourselves, and the natural world. And of course provide some good belly laughs.
Outside of art, Elena travels whenever possible, hikes long enough to question her choices, and draws on her background in nutrition to continually sneak healthy food into her family’s diet. She is SAG-Eligible and works between New York and Los Angeles.
